Gastineau Outfitters is a first-class operation second to none. I have been utilizing outfitters for over 20 years. If you want an all-around great hunting trip, you should look no further. Brett and his guides operate one of the best outfitting services I have ever experienced. Great lodging along with Mrs. Vera’s unbelievable meals makes Gastineau outfitters one of the best in the country.

Going on at least 3 Archery hunts with Brett and his guides this year, Elk in September, Ibex in October and Mule Deer in January. I’m sure they will cut a Cat track while I’m on one of those hunts so it’s going to be a busy season for me! I have been out there numerous times, and I can say I couldn’t be more impressed with their operation, from the great lodge to ALL the guides and Brett himself making it all happen, oh and the best part of the whole experience is the amazing Chef, Mrs. Vera Gastineau, don’t plan on loosing weight out there that’s for sure! Great hunting, Great people, and 5 star accommodations…

Fellow hunters –  I am writing to recommend Brett Gastineau, and Gastineau Outfitters. I have been hunting with Brett for 15 years and we have become friends. The first step to becoming a “friend” of your clients is to be competent, honest and by working tirelessly at the basis of the relationship, hunting.  Brett is driven, and it becomes clear immediately that he is doing exactly what he loves. This is NOT a job, it is his passion. His knowledge of his areas, and the animals is encyclopedic. Almost as important, is his creativity in getting his hunters to the game despite their limitations. He and his wife Vera strive to make everyone comfortable immediately at their beautiful lodge.  Brett inisists on the same focus among the guides he hires, and they are top-notch.  Most have been with Brett for many years, and grew up in the areas they hunt. The food is delicious and plentiful. The vehicles are new and reliable. Simply put, my wife and I hunt with Brett every time we draw tags. Please do not hesitate to call me with any questions.
